CASA BLANCA — Virginia Isabella Lewis, 87, of Casa Blanca died on Nov. 9, 2012, at Caring House in Sacaton.
Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday at Billy Farris Memorial Hall in Bapchule, with visitation continuing until 10. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in Sacate Cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis was born on Dec. 7, 1924, in Sacate and was a daughter of Juan Paloma and Maria Harvey. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, sewing, doing word puzzles and listening to Pima traditional songs. She was a church prayer leader and loved to visit people.
Survivors include three daughters, Frances Lewis of Phoenix, Christine and Alberta Lewis of Casa Blanca; three sons, David, Richard and James Lewis, all of Casa Blanca; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; two sons, Reynold and Jerome Lewis; and a daughter, Marjoria Mills.
