MESA - Virginia Quandt, 64, of Mesa died Oct. 19, 2007.
A celebration of life will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post at 65 S. Macdonald St. in Mesa.
Mrs. Quandt was born July 15, 1943 in Rochester, N.Y., and was a daughter of Frances and Rosina Cahill. She was a homemaker and was a very active member of VFW Post 1760 in Mesa and the Moose organization. She enjoyed making cookies and arts and crafts, taking the proceeds to help those in need. She was well-liked.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia J. Boon of Clermont, Fla., and Sarah Hillman of Mesa; a son, David Boyle, serving with the military in Korea; two sisters, Marie Hassis of Rochester and Kathy LaGasse of Mesa; a brother, Frank Cahill of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and a brother, William "Bill" Cahill.
