Vivian Martinez

BLACKWATER — Vivian Faye Martinez, 57, of Blackwater died on June 8, 2011, in Sacaton.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday at the District 1 Service Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Mission. Burial will be in Squaw Bush Cemetery. The Rev. Aaron Johns will officiate.
Ms. Martinez was born on June 4, 1954, in Sacaton. She worked at Sacaton Public Schools for 27 years as a paraprofessional. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and especially her baby, Allen. She enjoyed dancing to chicken scratch music and doing needlepoint. She was a hard worker and frequently helped people.
Survivors include a son, Benedict Makil Jr. of Blackwater; three daughters, Leni Makil, Anna and Laura Martinez, all of Blackwater; two sisters, Valerie Williams of Blackwater and Bertha Thomas of Sacaton Flats; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard O. Williams and Sharon M. Whitman; a son, Maximilliano Martinez Jr.; and four brothers, Sidney, Gilbert, Wayne and Jeffery Williams.
