W. George Tinnin

W. George Tinnin, 76, of Casa Grande died April 9, 2008 at home.


Mr. Tinnin was born Jan. 14, 1932 in the old Arizona mining town of Jerome. He had a career in the Army and Air Force and was a mechanic. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and was a senior master sergeant. He enjoyed woodworking, loved his family and was known for his sense of humor. He formerly lived in Kearny.

Survivors include a son, Dustin Tinnin of Casa Grande; four daughters, Rhonda Tinnin-Timm of Illinois, Tina Tinnin of Kentucky, Denna Klink and Karen Riggs of Nevada; his lifelong friend, Ingeborg Burke; a brother, Alden Tinnin of Lake Havasu City; two sisters, Iola Eaton and Frances Blake of Kearny; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

No formal service is planned immediately.
