Wanda Vancil

ELOY - Wanda Vancil, 80, a 65-year Eloy resident, died early on the morning of Oct. 3, 2017.
Mrs. Vancil was born in Louisiana in 1936. Her family followed the harvests and by age 16 she had lived in many different states. She arrived in Eloy in the early 1950s and lived with her aunt and uncle, Mitchell and Jessie Glandon.
She met William Vancil and they married in 1955 and raised four sons in Eloy. She was often seen walking or riding her bicycle, visiting her many friends throughout Eloy. She enjoyed going to yard sales. She was always on the go: active in the school activities of her sons, attending many concerts, games and ceremonies. She also worked at the Eloy Senior Center in Toltec.
She is survived by two sons, Chris and William, and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Lynn and Kenneth.
Memorial service at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel.
