Warren E. Kuehn, 88, of Florence, AZ, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at home with his wife at his side.
Warren was born to Edward and Lorena (Moldenhauer) Kuehn on June 22, 1928 in Eua Claire, WI.
On February 1, 1958 he married his wife, Bertha Frances (Olson) at the Chimney Rock Lutheran Church in Strum, WI. Warren and Bertha adopted two babies while they lived in the Indianapolis area; Russell (deceased in 2009) and Cindy Larson who currently lives in Denver, CO. Cindy also has five children who live in the Denver area. Warren has two surviving siblings, Milton Kuehn who lives in Fall Creek, WI, and Phyllis Erdman who lives in Eau Claire, WI.
Warren was pretty much on his own after he graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1945 at the age of sixteen. He had numerous jobs as a farm hand before being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1951. He took his basic training at Scoffield in Hawaii and from there was sent to serve in the Korean conflict. Warren was discharged in 1953. Upon leaving the Army, Warren began working as a carpenter and spent many years as a Trim Carpenter Contractor as well as building three of their own homes.
Warren and Bertha have lived numerous places throughout the United States during their married life, but decided that Arizona was the place to retire. They have lived in Florence, AZ for the past ten years.
Private graveside services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017. at 9:00 am at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
