Waylon James Lewis

CASA BLANCA - Waylon James Lewis, 38, died on June 6, 2017, in Chandler.

Mr. Lewis was born on Aug. 4, 1978, in Phoenix to Myron and Joyce Lewis. He had a big heart and cared for everyone around him. He would go out of his way to make everyone happy, always putting smiles on their faces.

He had a great talent for drawing and loved music, especially chicken scratch and classic rock. He was known for his compassion and open mind.

Survivors include four children, Aubriana, Jared, Taylor and Anthony Lewis; his mother; a brother, Allen Lewis; a sister, Faith Lewis; and his grandfather Gabriel Juan. He was preceded in death by his father and grandmothers Carmelita Juan and Shirley Thomas.

Wake from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 16, at the District 5 Multipurpose Building, with rosary recited at 6. Funeral Mass celebrated at 7 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Bapchule by the Rev. Antony Tinker. Burial in Sacate Cemetery.
