Wayne Heemstra

Wayne Ellwood Heemstra, 82, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 23, 2010, at Hospice Family Care.
The celebration of life will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. Burial will be in Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, S.D.
Mr. Heemstra was born on March 8, 1928, in Sioux Falls, S.D. He served with the Merchant Marine and Army, including during the Korean War. He owned a fencing business.
Survivors include two sons, David Heemstra of Whitewood, S.D., and Dale Heemstra of Spearfish, S.D.; his companion, Lois Parker; two brothers, Delvean Heemstra of Minnesota and Melton Heemstra of California; two sisters, Maxine and Eileen Heemstra; and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda.
