ARIZONA CITY — Wayne Lee Kingsbury, 75, of Arizona City died on April 8, 2012, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande. The memorial service will follow at 6, with Pastor Darrell Roe officiating.
Mr. Kingsbury was born on May 28, 1936, in San Francisco and was a son of Anita M. Thornton and Joseph J. Kingsbury. He served in the Army and was a manager in manufacturing. He was a member of Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge, loved golf and fishing, and worked at the golf course in Eloy. He was known for his stories, some true, some not, and his magnetic personality.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Houston of Arizona City; a son, Carl Kingsbury of Greenfield, Ind.; two sisters, Patricia Ferguson of Paradise, Calif., and Joan Ruiz of Redwood City, Calif.; two brothers, Lewis Kingsbury of Sacramento, Calif., and Steven Kingsbury of Simi Valley, Calif.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell; a son, Robert Kingsbury; and a brother, Ron Kingsbury. Donations can be made to Elks Lodge Scholarship Fund.
