Willeen Sylvester

Willeen Sylvester, 85, of Eloy died May 27, 2007 at home.

Visitation was to be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel. The funeral there will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. James Mumme officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mrs. Sylvester was born Aug. 29, 1921 in Quinton, Okla., and was a daughter of Josie (Ward) and Zanna Yarbrough. She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. She enjoyed casinos, yard sales and going to the White Mountains when it was snowing.

Survivors include six daughters, Evelyn Davis, Norma Knudsen and Char Sylvester, all of Eloy, Betty Sylvester and Joyce Linden of Arizona City and Anita Heet of Phoenix; a sister, Betty McDougal of Eloy; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer L.; a son, Arthur Wayne Sylvester; two brothers; and five sisters.
