William "Bill" Burden

ELOY - William "Bill" Burden, 86, of Eloy died on March 3, 2016, in Phoenix.

Mr. Burden was born to Arthur and Gertrude Burden on May 26, 1929, in Alliance, Ohio. He served in the Army during the Korean War and later worked as an electrician for Producers Cotton Oil Company until he retired. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved watching western movies and Lawrence Welk on television.

He is survived by a son, Bruce Burden of Eloy; a daughter, Faith Peters of Casa Grande; two brothers, Raymond of Mesa and Jerry of Pinedale; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba; a daughter, Annette Cook Burden; a grandson, Brian Etheredge; a great-grandson, Nicolas Aleman; a sister, Gladys Griggeory; and a brother, Murel Burden.

The celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Eloy Lions Club.
