William "Bill" Wortman

William "Bill" Wortman, 81, of Casa Grande died on April 14, 2012, at Hospice Family Care.
The service will be held later.
Mr. Wortman was born on July 27, 1930, in Seneca, S.D., and was a son of Phillip and Rhea Wortman. He served in the Navy and was a State Farm Insurance agent for 38 years, retiring in 1992. He traveled from Oregon to Arizona each year and had been a volunteer firefighter in Prineville, Ore., for 32 years. He attended the annual Order of the Antelope convention in Oregon and was a member of Eagles and active in Elks.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Shirley; four sons, Ron and Phil Wortman and Dan Schuette, all of Prineville, and Steve Schuette of John Day, Ore.; two daughters, Linda Abdich of Stevensville, Mont., and Sandi Thrasher of Prineville; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
