William Franklin Belding (Bill)
November 4, 1947- February 28, 2021

Bill married Sue Belding on December 16, 1967 and soon after started his career in Law
enforcement. After several years in law enforcement Bill changed career paths and eventually
worked his way to Fire Chief of the Winston Dillard Fire Department in Winston Oregon. Bill
wasn’t much for slowing down, soon after he retired from the fire department he started New
Tradition Homes, a construction company with his son in law, Norm Price. In 2013 Bill finally
retired for real this time and he and his wife Sue after 45 years in Roseburg Or. decided to
spend the next few years traveling, eventually settling in Casa Grande, Arizona. Palm Creek
Golf and RV Resort. Bill quickly became involved in the community sitting on the board of
appeals and board of adjustments as well as heading up Palm Creek Billiards Club.

Bill was a Master Chef, avid pool player, loved fishing, working in the wood-shop, watching
western movies and learning to play the dulcimer. Bill loved to entertain and cook for his family
and friends, his motto was “the more the merrier.” so it was a normal site to spot dinner parties
on the back patio year around with Bill cooking up some amazing dishes.

Bill was passionate about spending time with his family, planning multiple family vacations to
build precious memories with them. Including a very special trip to Europe with all four
grandchildren to show them the importance of world History. He was the biggest
cheerleader/coach on the sidelines for all sporting events. He loved taking his family fishing
and crabbing, then having big crab feeds together with family and friends. Before taking Bill to
the ICU, his last words to us were “ I HAVE THE BEST FAMILY” He truly loved us all to his very core.

Bill left us for a bigger and better party in Heaven on February 28, 2021 after his courageous
battle with COVID-19. He left behind the love of his life, wife Sue Belding, daughters Brandi
Buck and son in-law Kelly Buck, Sheri Price and son in-law Norm Price and his adored
grandchildren Andrew and wife Kaitlyn Buck, Nicholas Buck, Peyton Price and Fiance’ Justin
Hill and Meleah Price. Words can never convey how deeply he will be missed but we are all
honored for how Bill purposely touched all of our lives, he will forever be remembered and
loved.

In lieu of flowers we are respectfully choosing to support one of Bill’s greatest passions, The
Palm Creek Billiards Club. Bill called the Billiards room “The office” spending hours in the
billiards room giving free instruction and playing the game he loved. He would be honored for
donations to go to help others find the love of playing pool as he did.

A donation fund account has been set up through Wells Fargo Bank. You may reference “Bill
Belding Billiards Donation Fund” at any Wells Fargo drive-up or counter nationwide. We are
not able to accept cash donations at Wells Fargo. If you would like to Venmo or Zelle Sue
Belding she will be happy to transfer the donation funds to her linked donation account in your
name.

Celebration of life will be held:

With all our love,
Sue Belding, the Buck Family and Price Family
