ARIZONA CITY — William Harry “Bill” Hallett, 83, of Arizona City died on July 10, 2010, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.
A private service is planned in California.
Mr. Hallett was born on Oct. 27, 1926, in Pateros, Wash., and was a son of Harry B. and Rose L. Hallett. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a school administrator. He was devoted to his family and educating people and had a passion for basketball. He participated in many sports and played his last basketball game at 53. He believed that for every serious moment in a day, people should have two unserious moments.
Survivors include his wife, Karen C.; two sons, Eric Hallett of Buffalo, N.Y., and Edwin “Boone” Hallett of Aurora, Colo.; three daughters, Vicki Hallett Woodhead of Covington, Wash., Stacy Hallett Cano of Elk Grove, Calif., and Keely Hallett Morales of Escondido, Calif.; two brothers, Robert Hallett of Westminster, Calif., and Jack Hallett of Cave Creek; two sisters, Margaret Johnson and Betsy Garcia of Irvine, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin S. Hallett, and two sisters, Geraldine Lambert and Hazel Little.
