CASA GRANDE -William Jackson Burch, 96, of Casa Grande passed away August 8, 2016 at his residence. He was born on May 4, 1920, in Jacksonville, Florida to Cliffe and Jesse (Collins) Burch.
William "Bill" Burch was an interesting fellow. During his life he visited every State in the union. He was an avid golfer and gardener. He was just an all-around out-doors enthusiast. His kindness, generosity, and zest for life will leave this world a better place. Bill enjoyed a 60 year marriage with his wife, Gene, and will be sorely missed. Bill was a decorated U.S. Navy veteran, earning medals and commendations for: American Defense, Asiatic Pacific, Good Conduct, European African Middle Eastern, World War II Victory, Korean Service, National Defense, United Nations, and retired from the Navy and Civil Service. He will be placed to rest in Arlington National Cemetery
William is survived by:
Emma "Gene" Burch (Spouse of 60 years); Casa Grande, AZ, Cliffe L. Burch (Linda); Panama City, FL, two grandson’s: Christopher (Atlanta, Georgia), Corey (Panama City, Florida), two great-grandsons, and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by:
Ora Burch (First Wife), Thomas Burch (Brother) , Miriam Cole (Sister) , Naomi Burch (Sister)
Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
