William Lee Brown

William Lee Brown, 79, of Casa Grande, Arizona passed away February 28, 2020 at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center. He was born on July 23, 1940 in Cisco, Texas to William E. and Jeffie Lee (Butler) Brown. Bill earned his Master’s Degree in Business. He and his wife, Janie, celebrated their wedding anniversary this past Jan. 1. They married in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were together 42 years, married 33 years.
Mr. Brown worked as an Executive Financial Manager at Pacific Finance and Transamerica Financial for 25 years starting in the early 70s. He also started his own business, Bill Brown Insurance Agency, currently known as The Auto Insurance Specialist. This was the first independent insurance agency in Casa Grande. Bill retired from Transamerica Financial and concentrated on his own insurance company and rental property. He also owned and operated The City Limits Tavern.
Bill loved to travel, fish, hunt, camp, BBQ and spending time with his family and friends.
William is survived by: wife, Janie G. Brown; son, Eric Rivera; brother, Kenneth Brown of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Eric Rivera Jr., Marisa Rivera, Victoria Rivera, Natalie Rivera, Nevaeh Rivera, Ethan Rivera, Emma Rivera; two great-grandchildren, Avianna Jordan and Melanie Martinez. He was preceded in death by: daughter, Tamara Sorenson; brother, Bobby Brown; sister, Effie Laverne Turner; parents, William Etheridge and Jeffie Lee Brown.
The family would like to thank Family Tree Assisted Living for loving and caring for our Bill. Private services will be held.
