William Payne

ARIZONA CITY - William Lewis "Wick" Payne, 63, died on Jan. 12, 2018.

Mr. Payne was born on Dec. 31, 1954, in Itta Bena, Mississippi, to James and Florida Payne. He served in the Navy. He married Jewell Lynn Knox on Aug. 31, 1976.

He enjoyed sports, fishing and bike riding and especially enjoyed messing with his mice. He was devoted to his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Edward Payne; a sister, Teresa Payne; and his oldest son, William Payne Jr. He is survived by his wife of 41 years; three daughters, Anastasia, Deidre and Tasha; a son, Marcus; four brothers; five sisters; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Celebration of life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, at his home, 12246 W. Obregon Drive in Arizona City.
