CASA GRANDE - Willie Earl Brown, 70, of Casa Grande died peacefully on June 28, 2016.
Mr. Brown was born on June 2, 1946, in Marshall, Texas, and was a son of Zula McNeil Brown and D.R.C. Brown. Malston "Uncle Son" McNeil was his guardian and second father. He served in the Navy and was a kind, gentle and generous man.
He worked for Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center for more than 40 years. He was a senior clerk and was promoted to an assistant manager position in the latter part of his career. Although he enjoyed his solitude, he also liked getting together for family dinners, a game of cards and playing dominoes. He also enjoyed occasional trips to casinos and was an avid 49ers fan.
Survivors include four brothers, Bobby and Felton Brown of San Francisco, J.C. Brown of Los Angeles and James Brown of San Jose, California, and three sisters, Berta Moore of Sacramento, California, Annie Brown of Casa Grande and Lee McNeil Nash of Ontario, California.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The celebration of life will follow at 11, with Superintendent Clarence C. Edwards officiating.
