ELOY - Yolanda L. McKaney, 52, of Phoenix died on Dec. 4, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Fountains of Living Water Church in Casa Grande. The service will follow at 11. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Ms. McKaney was born on May 22, 1963, in Casa Grande. She was a homemaker and a fun, energetic, outgoing and loving person and social butterfly. She loved cooking and being with her family as well as eating different foods, especially soul food.
A beautiful person inside and out, she was a free spirit. She loved playing sports, especially softball, and played in several state tournaments and the African American Women’s World Series. She traveled to many states as well as countries and played in Barcelona, Spain.
Survivors include her husband, Hubert Jordan; a daughter, Shaqueta L. McKaney of Eloy; a stepdaughter, Ogiee Jordan of Coolidge; three sons, Bobby Tyler of Stanfield, Malik McKaney of Eloy and William M. Banks Jordan of Coolidge; a stepson, Joshua Jordan of Coolidge; seven sisters, Dorothy McKaney-Scott, Cynthia Thornton and Tammy McDaniel, all of Phoenix, Carolyn Ayers of Eloy, Annette Gagnon of Mesa, Priscilla McKaney of Casa Grande and Shalla McKaney of Indio, California; nine brothers, Herbert Barnes of Phoenix, Chadwick Barnes of Tucson, Eugene House of California, Reginald and Dwayne McKaney of Eloy, Keith McKaney of Phoenix, Michael R. and Alvin McKaney of Eloy and Ivory L. Barnes of California; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, William McKaney and Credell Beavers; two sisters, Brenda Robinson and Michelle McKaney; and two brothers, Faragest and William McKaney Jr.
