He was a rancher, farmer, a former rodeo cowboy and a strong and dedicated memeber of the Catholic community. He was known as honorable, respectful and kind-hearted to chilren, his family and everyone in the community.

He later was a diesel mechanic and pilot and enhoyed flying, playing dominoes and photography. He traveled around the country with a friend and opened one of the first ski runs in Colorado.
