Born in Eloy, AZ; he was veteran with the US Army and worked for the Arizona Department of Corrections for 25 years before retirement. He then continued working as a corrections officer. He was a memeber of St. Helen's Church and an avid sports fan who enjoyed coaching, fishing, biking and running.

Born in Amelia, Va; he was the son of Charles I and Era Mitchell. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked at the post office in Casa Grande and retired after 28 years. He was a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church and a life member of Elks.
